Sea Raiders drop great mid-level equipment that you can use for you character and your champions. In between trade runs, to level up, kill Forest Bandits in Swadia or Tundra Bandits in Vaegir and once you're a bit tougher, you can start taking on the nastier Sea Raiders. For variety, or if they're not buying Iron at a good price in Rivacheg or Khudan, you can travel to Ichamur or Tulga to sell your Iron, and pick up cheap Spice (less than 700 denars) in Tulga to sell pretty much anywhere else (normal Spice selling prices are over 900 denars in most cities). Carry it to Rivacheg or Khudan and sell it for 200+ denars. Take that money to Curow and buy a lot of Iron cheaply (less than 100 denars). So you can use that money as start up funds for yourself. Look for noble lords and keep trying to take quests from them, until you get the quest "Collect some taxes for me." The thing about this quest is that although you have a time limit of 30 days to get around to collecting the taxes, there is NO time limit to actually returning that money to the lord in question.
